Summary of Essential Job Functions

The Laboratory Operations Specialist is a co-builder inspired to provide force-multiplying systems to build and expand the life-science ecosystem.

 

  • Collaborate with other Bonneville Labs staff to provide an outstanding customer experience for our members.
  • Perform all duties and job functions associated with the site
  • Proactively interact with member scientists to identify and resolve issues with services, equipment, and supplies
  • Use of digital tracking software to process and perform daily tasks
  • Coordinate with BVL team and outside vendors for lab support
  • Suggest ideas and bring solutions for site improvements and increased efficiency
  • Manage the training of members on EH&S and equipment used for the site
  • Assist with any changes or cleaning necessary for the site to maintain an appealing atmosphere
  • Complete regulatory and operational training required to perform job functions
  • Work on ‘day-to-day’ procedures and follow internal procedures and direct instruction
  • Ability to perform duties with the highest regard for safety, quality, and site protocols or procedures
  • Traveling between Bonneville and customer sites required periodically

 

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in life sciences or related field of study preferred
  • 3 years experience in a laboratory setting
  • 3 years experience in customer-facing role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and customer service
  • Ability to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment
  • EH&S, Haz Mat, and bloodborne pathogen training are highly desirable
  • A drivers license and reliable vehicle required
